I’ve been reading blogs for a long time and while my favorite type of post to read has changed a bit, I’ve always been drawn to authentic and honest bloggers. But whether you’re my very favorite blogger or not, there are certain types of post that will get my click every single time.
TV show, movie, and book recommendations. No surprise here, I’m always looking for a new show to watch or book to read, but I HATE scouring amazon and Netflix for something new. If you’re going to make it easy for me and give me a recommendation, I’m probably going to take you up on it.
Anything TMI. I’m nosy and I love to know weird details about people. I get so excited when a blogger shares just a little too much. Something about the realness and honesty gets me every time. Tell me things I don’t need to know about your relationship, your eating habits, your bad date, or your personal hygiene. Please!
How to grow your following on (social media platform). I’m type-A so I like numbers and facts. As a marketer and blogger, a growing social media profile is important to me. I love watching the numbers grow so if you have a trick I may not have tried yet, I want to know about it.
Stitch Fix reviews. Guys, I love Stitch Fix Reviews. I don’t even know why. I’ve tried Stitch Fix and although I love the concept I’m not in love with most of the clothes I’ve seen. Guessing if the blogger is going to keep an item is like getting to play stylist!
Blog traffic reports. This is something I couldn’t have cared less about until I started blogging, but now I can’t stay away from. It really helps me envision the future growth of my blog when I get to see what is attainable for others.
What I learned from (life experience). Maybe because I’m in such a transitional time in my life, but I love reading about personal growth. Learning new things from your experiences is such an important and character building part of life and getting an inside look at someone else’s is fun for me!
What’s in my bag. Again, I’m nosy. The inside of someone’s bag is like getting a peek into their soul. Kind of. Chances are I will get to see all the things you need on a daily basis, a few favorite cosmetic items, and I’ll find out if you’re on any good prescriptions.
Have you written about any of these things lately? Link in comments, please!
